Sarthak MehrotraTo be very honest your chances of getting into Top IIMs are pretty low considering your past academics. However that does not mean that you can't get a Good B School, there are several good B Schools that doesn't take your past academics into consideration like FMS, XLRI, MDI, JBIMS. Having a Work ex of 30 months will be a plus point. At this point CAT 2017 seems to be the best bet. Not only CAT you should also target other exams like IIFT, SNAP, XAT, TISS. Let me break a myth here “NO TOP B SCHOOL CAN GUARANTEE YOU A GOOD PLACEMENT”. It is never about the college it is always also about the skill set you have. If you wish to do MBA for those so called “Big Packages” then buddy you are on a wrong track. If you are really interested in MBA and somehow fail to get into a good B School, don’t lose hope. Try to learn some skills that are actually required in the industry like Data Analytics. But please don’t join any TIER 3 colleges (colleges below 85 percentile), trust me joining these colleges will be the biggest regret of your life. Since MBA is going to be perhaps your last educational degree be wise and choose smartly.
