Everybody who asked me about my past one year at Great Lakes heard only glowing praise for the institute from me. Ecstatic as I was over the amazing experience I had at Great Lakes, deep down I wanted to understand the factors that contributed to this journey of transformation. After some serious deliberation, head scratching and musing over a cup of hot filter coffee in pouring Chennai rain, I had a sudden epiphany. I realized the biggest factor for my fond memories of the institute - 'My Gurus'.

I think one of the best things about the college is that they are always looking to improve. From our formative years, the college worked actively in identifying its areas of improvement and went about it in a professional manner. For example, we lacked a good infrastructure and now the college has one of the best infrastructures in the country. Our placements were skewed towards IT, and now it is evenly distributed across Analytics, Consulting, Finance, Manufacturing sectors.

"Temple with cornucopia of knowledge"---- a wonderful ambience with a positive vibes, starting from its entry gate. A Diligently designed curriculum with emphasis on holistic development.Faculities second to none with rich experience in their respective areas. Classes are scheduled such that students get enough time to understand the concepts and reflect them. Students are advised to read the topic to be discussed in the coming class so that they get better understanding of the concepts. Teaching pedagogy is designed in such a way that students are provoked to think.

A great school is known by its faculty and Great lakes institute of Management is one such B-school where you can find the ultimate blend of top notch faculty. The college has most of the faculty coming from other top B-schools of the world. The curriculum is tailor made for one year and the pressure that students go through while studying in the campus mould them in perfect business managers
First thing I like about GLIM is it's culture. Freedom is provided to students and faculty to tap into the opportunities provided by the institute. As food and accommodation are completely taken care by Sodexo, a significant amount of time can be invested for yourself. The top notch faculty is friendly with the students and will be helpful throughout the progress of the course.
