Undoubtedly the best MBA college in India. The most beautiful and green campusas you could have seen in 3 idiots. Faculty needs no introduction with many featuring in top professors of world.A very good peer group, many club activities, case competitions and easy access to all corporate leaders adds to the benefit of being in start up city Bangalore.
The two years at IIMB were two of the best years of my life. It gave me the chance to compete with some of the best talent in the country. It gives one the chance to stretch and find out what one is truly capable of. It boasts some of the best faculty in
IIMB has one of the most beautiful college campuses in India. Few of the facilities worth mentioning are single room accommodation, almost 24 hour eating points, ac eating point like au bon pain, best sports facilities in any of IIMs.Average lecture hours per day in first year are 6 which may reduce to 4 to 5 in second year depending upon the electives chosen in each term.Typically 5-day working week, with quizzes and exams scheduled on weekends as well.
IIM Bangalore is a brand name in itself. The placement is high with the highest package of rupees 87 lakhs and companies like Bain, KPMG, NOMURA, EY, GOOGLE etc. are regular recruiters. The faculty is very good. The teachers are highly qualified and the class teaching is better than any notes. The libraries are excellent with each and every journal we could have. There is no journal in the world which we don't have. Computer Labs have latest Intel i7 equipped computers and Wi-Fi is available all around the campus. However, electricity is a major problem as there is no 24x7 backup. Also, the staff is not well mannered and they do not perform their duties on time. They are rude, also there is restriction related to going out with friends too.
IIMB is a very good college for management, especially for marketing, consulting and operations. The finance faculty and courses could be improved. The college infrastructure is excellent, with all amenities and very well maintained hostels. The faculty is also very experienced and the best in their fields. Another factor which really works in its favour is the diversity in the batch. People are from different backgrounds and the average workex is also high, leading to very fruitful class discussions.
